The police has informed us there is a BLM march planned tomorrow starting 1pm from Hyde Park and finishing at Parliament. It could spread to Trafalgar Square. Will keep our eyes on it and might have to change Westminster meeting point.
Wonderful update from Elizabeth M on Daniel:
An update and thank you from Daniel at Waterloo made homeless after losing job in hospitality. Brian made a dash to meet him with a phone 2 weeks ago as he was having an interview the next day. With internet access help from Zviad Travelodge manager and through subsequent completion of several examination modules on his donated phone he hopes to start work in 2 weeks as an NHS carer. Just waiting for DBS to come through. A very happy story and thank you to all from a happier Daniel.
Jamie W together with Rebekah C and Monique R is arranging an UOS charity auction, starting on 3 July, to raise funds for the next chapter in our development. At the moment high-value items, experiences or gifts are being sourced. If you have contacts who might want to contribute e.g. a restaurant donating a dinner then please check out the PDF below. You can use that to approach potential sponsors. We are hoping to source so really special items. If our network comes good we definitely could. More to come on this.
James A has written a piece on Medium where he shares some really interesting perspectives based on his skywalking experiences. Have a read here.
