Our teams did a brilliant job tonight. Feels like we are finding a rhythm now.

Embankment which is usually the busiest place was calmer today. Interesting observation from Franc (photographer), who has been on Embankment/Waterloo and Victoria the previous days, felt Kings Cross is the most desperate place he has been to. Issues around lack of shower, toilet and laundry facilities coming up more and more. Tomorrow we will include women’s hygiene products in our supplies.

Tonight Kelly submitted details of several people to StreetLink as teams met them on the streets.
Thanks to Melissa and the GlassDoor team we have a designated driver from tomorrow…such fantastic news.
Feels like there is a bit of movement on the hotel front but many still seek out food on the streets if they are not fed in the hotels.

Observations:

  • Reports of homeless being harassed / threatened with arrest if they keep on the street and private security firms patrolling the streets.
  • Homeless being told to get rid of their dogs if they want a hotel place. If any one has ideas or contacts on how to support get in touch.
  • People not having access to their methadone going through very difficult withdrawals.
