The last day of food distribution has arrived. In 95 days we will have handed out roughly 42,000 wraps and sandwiches. That is pretty astounding when you consider the number of actions involved right from buying the supplies to handing over to a homeless friend.
Last night Natasha C had arranged for her local pizza place Van Dough to deliver 70 pizzas to our homeless friends at Waterloo. It went down a storm and James from Van Dough was so taken aback by the reaction of his action that he will start doing the same in his local area.
We’ve had great news that 3 of our Romanian regulars have now finally had their wish fulfilled and have returned home with the help of the Romanian embassy. A Polish regular in Waterloo has also manged to get back to Poland to reunite with his family. Wonderful news all round!
You might remember we’ve had 3 bicycles stolen over the last few months. Kaiya put a GoFundMe campaign together yesterday and I have just pushed the “go live” button on it. Hopefully we can raise the full £1040 so Tatjana, Paisley and Tom can get new bicycles and not suffered a financial loss from sky walking. In the last hour we’ve raised £300 so off to a good start. If you can afford would be lovely with a contribution and if not then sharing the campaign would be much appreciated.
