Its now been 7 weeks since the lock down started. Our emergency initiative got into gear 10 days later and last night we went past the 9000 meals mark. It was the biggest night to date in Waterloo/London Bridge with 74 homeless friends served. In fact the team saw 90 homeless people on that route but ran out of supplies. It was reported that London Bridge is getting busier again with new faces turning up on the street.

Last night we had one of those beautiful moments. Our Kings Cross team had made a friend in Dodger several days ago. He told them about his problematic feet and the idea came up that a pair of Crocs would be the perfect solution for him. The team reported back to The Springbok Girls Samantha and Charmaine who found him a pair. Last night it was time for Dodger to smile as he finally received his Crocs.

After a successful trial of a breakfast run on Friday we have agreed with Richard Corrigan at Bentley’s to start doing these runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (10am start). Amazing to get this collaboration up and running and huge thank you to Richard for making it happen. Will make a call out for this one tomorrow.

  71. I don’t know if it’s just me or if everyone else experiencing problems with your blog. It looks like some of the text within your posts are running off the screen.
